Newsletters

Between 1985 and 1999, WNFIP produced a bulletin or newsletter for distribution to a Britain-wide mailing list. Changing dramatically in form over the years, the newsletter was initially a collage of typed-up and handwritten commentary, newspaper articles from the Pacific region, and poetry, interspersed with images and decorative motifs referencing the Pacific. WNFIP groups around the country took turns to compile the newsletter and reproduce it on a Roneo duplication machine. In the 1990s, as the wider network dwindled and home computing improved, the newsletter was taken on by the London group and became increasingly slimline and standardised in appearance.
